Set in the picturesque village of Tiruvala, 'Pathu Maasam' tells the story of the survival of a basic caste laborer named Praseetha. She throws her husband Raghu out of the house under special circumstances and realizes that she is pregnant one of the next few days. This leaves Praseetha conflicted but she does not give up. Raghu, on the other hand, leads a more chaotic life.
